Chase is a 7-year-old boy living in Florida, US. Last week, he did a very brave thing that helped save his younger sister and father.

Chase and his sister, Abigail, were playing in the river, hanging onto their father’s boat for safety. Their father was also watching to make sure they were safe.

However, the river current got too strong and swept Abigail away from the boat. Their father jumped into the water to go after Abigail. He told Chase to swim to the shore to get help.

Chase swam for nearly one hour to reach the shore. When he got there, he ran to the nearest house for help.

By this time, his father and sister had been taken away by the current. They were more than 2 kilometres from the boat. Officials spent another hour trying to find them.

Thankfully, they were rescued and everyone is doing well now. Many people praised Chase for his bravery.
