Snoopy: Charlie Brown’s beloved dog!

Recommended for Preparatory Grades

Snoopy is Charlie Brown’s pet dog in the Peanuts comics, created by Charles M. Schulz. His first appearance in the comics was on 4 October 1950.

Since then, Snoopy has become one of the most recognizable comic characters in Peanuts. Moreover, he has appeared in numerous films, t-shirts, books and more.

Tune in to the fun facts about everyone’s favorite beagle!

Fun facts about Snoopy!

  • Snoopy is a type of dog known as a beagle. In the cartoon, it is a loyal, imaginative and good-natured dog. While sometimes he makes fun of Charlie, he also shows great love and loyalty towards him.
  • Snoopy like cookies and also loves living in an imaginary world. He is often seen imagining himself to be an author, a college student, a lawyer and a pilot. In his imagination, he wears a pilot’s clothes like a helmet, goggles and a scarf.
  • Snoopy is very popular around the world and also appears in many of NASA’s space projects.
  • And let’s not forget, this dog has a serious love affair with cookies. Who can blame him? A cookie in the paw is worth two in the doghouse, right?
  • But wait, there’s more! Snoopy, this charming canine, doesn’t just stick to flying; oh no, he’s a jack of all trades. One day he’s penning novels, the next he’s buried in college textbooks, and before you know it, he’s strutting around in a lawyer’s suit.
  • And let’s talk about loyalty—this dog is more than Charlie Brown’s best friend; he’s his loyal companion through thick and thin, even if he pulls a fast one on Charlie every now and then.
  • And here’s the kicker: Snoopy’s so cool, he’s literally out of this world! He’s got his paws in NASA’s space projects. Can you imagine? Floating around in zero gravity, probably chasing space cookies.
  • So, when you look up at the sky tonight, just remember, somewhere out there, Snoopy’s spirit is doing loop-de-loops around the moon. Oh, what a dog, ladies and gentlemen, what a dog!
