• It is a mixture of tea (like black, green, oolong and white tea) along with milk powder, ice cubes, sugarcane syrup and boiled tapioca balls.
• The tapioca balls (pearls) which are the main ingredient, are chewy and salty in taste.
• Other toppings like fruit jelly and grass jelly are also added to the drink.

• You can drink it hot or cold, with or without milk.
• There are many varieties of the drink with the two most popular varieties being black pearl milk tea and green pearl milk tea.
• It is the first thing served at restaurants, often without even placing an order for it.

Both the local people and tourists enjoy it in Taiwan. Bubble tea is also becoming very popular all around the world. There are even a few restaurants in India that serve it. Make sure to try bubble tea whenever you visit Taiwan!
