Elephants in China take nap after 500-km walkEarlier, we read about wandering elephants in China who had escaped from a nature park. They have been walking about since then and have walked over 500 km. And now, after their very long walk, which took over a year, they are taking a good rest.

The latest photos of the elephants showed all of them napping on the ground. Of course, after that, they have woken up and now are walking again. The animals seem to be headed back to the nature park they came from.

However, one of the elephants, a male, has left the group and gone in a different direction.

A group of 8 firefighters, along with drones are following the elephants around every day. Not only that, hundreds of other people and cars are also on alert for them.

This herd (group) of elephants have become really famous on the internet. Millions of people are watching their every step, amazed by what exactly they are doing. Three calves (babies) born on this trip have especially become very famous.

Elephants are protected by law in China. However, over recent years, forests have become smaller, making their lives more difficult.
