22nd June (and 23rd June early morning for India) saw the start of the Round of 16.

Match 1 - Germany versus Nigeria.

Germany won the match and is the first team to progress to the quarterfinals.

The final score was Germany 3 - Nigeria 0.
 	Germany's goals were scored by Alexandra Popp, Sara Darbitz and Lea Schuller.
 	The Player of the Match was Alexandra Popp.

Match 2 - Norway versus Australia.

With the score tied at 1 - 1 at the end of regular time, there was a penalty shoot-out which Norway won. Norway will progress to the quarterfinals.

The final score was Norway 1 (4) - Australia 1 (1).
 	Norway's goal was scored by Isabell Herlovsen,
 	Australia's goal was scored by Elise Kellond-Knight.
 	Norway won the penalty shootout 4 - 1.

The next Round of 16 matches on 23rd June will be between:

England and Cameroon at 9:30 PM IST
 	France and Brazil at 12:30 AM IST (24th June)
