First electric bus launches in Delhi.
Hey, all of you must have travelled by bus? Now, there are electric buses launched in the capital city of India.
What is electric bus?
Electric bus is a bus powered by electricity. Electricity can be stored on the bus or they can be charged by an electric source.
As of now, there is only one electric bus in Delhi. But the honourable Chief Minister of Delhi announced the launch of 300 buses.
First electricity serviced bus
The first electric bus is air-conditioned and is 12-metres long. The number of this bus is E-44.
These electricity served buses are noise-free and easy to drive. They have zero emissions, which lessens air pollution. Kejriwal said that these buses are one step towards controlling pollution.
The E-44 service bus will be available from 5:30 AM to 8:20 PM every day. It takes around one or 1.5 hours to charge completely. Currently, we only have one charger at the IP depot, the bus stand for electric buses.
New Features
The new electric buses have kneeling ramps for the differently-abled people. There are pink seats for women. Adding to the list, the bus has CCTV cameras. These cameras are connected to the Kashmiri Gate control centre.
As you will get onto the bus, you will have 10 panic buttons and stop buttons on this bus. These are all for the safety of the passengers.
