Get Ready to Ride on India’s Awesome New Rail Bridge!
Recommended for Bridge Construction
India is building a new bridge for trains to go over a river in Jammu and Kashmir. This bridge is special because it is called a “cable-stayed” bridge. In other words, it has big cables holding it up instead of a lot of poles or pillars.
Important Details
- The bridge was supposed to be finished 20 years ago, but it has taken a long time because it is very hard to build a big bridge like this.
- The people who are building it have to be very careful to make sure it is strong enough to hold the trains and the people riding on them.
- When it is finished, it will be the first cable-stayed bridge for trains in all of India!
- Everyone is very excited to see the new bridge when it is finished.
- It will make it easier and faster for people to travel on trains between Jammu and Kashmir.
- Even though it took a long time to build, it is going to be a great accomplishment for the people who worked hard to make it happen.
