Global Forgiveness Day – 7 JulyEvery year, 7 July is celebrated as Global Forgiveness Day.

'Forgiveness' is the act of stopping to blame or being angry with someone for something that person has done, or not punish them for something.

Many of us have experienced something wrong being done to us, whether it is small or big. But this day encourages us to let go of our anger and forgive the other person for what have they have done. Holding on to grudges only makes us unhappy. So, if we can forgive them, we can move on and live happy lives.
What is the history of this day?
The CECA (Christian Embassy of Christ’s Ambassadors) founded this day in 1994. It initially started as National Forgiveness Day in Vancouver, Canada but later, it became popular all over the world. And so the day was renamed Global Forgiveness Day.

The theme of the day every year is 'Forgive'. Studies say that people who forgive easily have less anxiety and other health issues. So, forgiveness is good for the body too.
