The 63rd Grammy Awards were held on Sunday (this morning for India).

The Grammy Awards (or just Grammy) is a yearly award by the Recording Academy in the US to recognise achievements in the music industry. It is considered to be one of the most prestigious (reputable) awards for music in the world.

The ceremony was originally supposed to have been held on 31 January but was postponed to 14 March. It was held at the Los Angeles Convention Center in the US.

Beyoncé made history by winning her 28th Grammy. She won it for the song “Black Parade” (Best R&B performance). She is now the most-awarded woman in Grammys history.

Taylor Swift also made history by becoming the first female artist ever to win the Album of the Year three times. She won the award for her album Folklore.

Other winners at Grammy Awards 2021

Other big winners this year include Billie Eilish (Record of the year), H.E.R. (Song of the year) and Megan Thee Stallion (Best new artist). Megan Thee Stallion also became the first female artist to win the best rap song award.

This year’s Grammy Awards ceremony had live performances by Billie Eilish, Harry Styles, Megan Thee Stallion, and Taylor Swift.
