IPL 2022 Update, 24-April!

On 23-Apr, the Gujarat Titans (GT) beat the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 8 runs in the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by nine wickets on Saturday at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, clinching a convincing victory.

Gujrat Titans hold the top position on the points table. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) hold the second and third positions respectively in the ongoing IPL 2022. 

Gujrat Titans vs Kolkata Knight Riders! 

In a nail-biting final over, Gujrat Titans came out on top by 8 runs. Sam Billings and Sunil Narine were back in the hut as Kolkata Knight Riders attempted to chase down 157. Before being caught behind by Yash Dayal, Rinku Singh had scored four fours and a six in the innings.

Two sixes from Andre Russell were followed by a deep catch by Venkatesh Iyer off Rashid Khan’s bowling. To overcome Kolkata Knight Riders by eight runs, the Gujrat Titans batsmen Hardik Pandya and Wriddhiman Saha each scored a half-century.

With four wickets in the last over, Andre Russell helped limit Kolkata Knight Riders to a total of 156/9. Gujrat Titans were 127/2 after five overs thanks to David Miller’s two sixes and a four.

Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Royal Challengers Bangalore!

Kane Williamson and Abhishek Sharma hit half-centuries as Sunrisers Hyderabad chased down the target with 12 overs to spare. Three wickets apiece from Marco Jansen and T Natarajan restricted Royal Challengers Bangalore to 68 in the first innings.

Royal Challengers Bangalore were put in to bat first and lost four wickets inside the powerplay. Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked the final wicket of the innings after Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper Williamson took a running catch to dismiss Mohammed Siraj.
