IPL 2022 Update, 6-May!

A 21-run victory over the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on 5 May at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai gave the Delhi Capitals (DC) its fifth win in the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, extending their winning streak to five games.

Royal Challengers Bangalore returned to winning ways in the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 on 4 May with a 13-run victory over Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. 

Gujrat Titans hold the top position on the points table. Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) hold the second and third positions respectively in the ongoing IPL 2022. 

Delhi Capitals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad! 

Delhi Capitals amassed a 207-3 lead after the first two innings, thanks to runs from Warner, Powell and Abott. Warner reached the nineties by the time the final over was completed, with three brilliant fours and a monster six.

Sunrisers Hyderabad lost Abhishek Sharma’s wicket early in the chase as the opener was caught within the circle by Khaleel Ahmed’s bowling. Anrich Nortje grabbed the crucial wicket of Kane Williamson in the 5th over.

Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran helped Sunrisers Hyderabad keep the ship afloat after a rocky start. Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 21 runs in the final two overs to fall 22 runs short of the required total.

Mitchell Marsh was dismissed by Sean Abott, who made a superb catch off his own bowling.

Chennai Super King vs Royal Challengers Bangalore!

Chennai Super Kings were bowled out for 174 in the first innings by Royal Challengers Bangalore. Harshal Patel took three key wickets in the second innings to help Royal Challengers Bangalore defend their total. Mahipal Lomror scored a quick-fire half-century for Chennai Super Kings but it was not enough as Royal Challengers Bangalore won by 13 runs.

MS Dhoni was caught off the bowling of Josh Hazlewood in the penultimate over to secure the crucial wicket of Chennai Super Kings skipper Virat Kohli. Rajat Patidar and Mahipal Lomror helped Royal Challengers Bangalore reach 173/8 in their first innings.

Mheesh Theekshana took three wickets in the last over to end the match on a high with the ball. Dinesh Karthik struck two sixes in the penultimate over to put Royal Challengers Bangalore on top.
