Microsoft Teams – Walkie Talkie!

Recommended for Preparatory Grades

Study from home

At Curious Times we love Microsoft, why? Firstly, by 2030 the company will be carbon negative. What that means is that it is thinking about its impact on the environment and carbon-negative implies creating a positive relationship with the environment. It would be nice for our little readers to get a refresher and glance at what exactly is a carbon footprint.

What is carbon footprint?

Its a measure of greenhouse gas emissions.

If as a company you are carbon negative that implies, your operation is not creating a negative impact on the environment. You are buddies of the environment and care about one another. Anyone who cares about the environment is our friend too 🙂

Every since the Pandemic, studying or working from home has become normal. Microsoft Teams is an excellent tool that allows us to do that.

Microsoft Teams

We are confident a lot of readers are familiar with Microsoft Teams.  If our readers thought that staying at home would mean “no homework”, “no studying”, tools or apps like Microsoft Teams enable working and studying from home.

Besides we know our curious little readers love studying, don’t they? Tell us in the comments section.

Microsoft had announced that will be bringing a lot of cool and new features to Teams and with “Walkie Talkie”, it’s done just that. Now you and your friends can play soldiers or any other game that would require a Walkie Talkie. Well, you need to do your homework first ;-).

Walkie Talkie and much more

So, what exactly could we do with Microsoft Teams – Walkie Talkie? Is our teacher going to teach us using a Walkie Talkie now? Could I get answers to my exam questions over Walkie Talkie? Perfectly valid questions that may cross your mind. As the name suggests, you need to hold the microphone button to speak – the person(s) on the other side will hear you. When you are done, just release the button like you would operate a traditional Walkie Talkie.

Although the feature is yet to gain popularity status and is not commonly found in other tools. But we are sure, in time, this feature will gain a lot of popularity, especially with kids.

Stay safe and keep learning!
