Important Details
- The NEET-PG Examination usually happens in January every year. But, because of the ongoing pandemic, it has been moved to 21 May 2022. The people in charge made this decision to keep everyone safe and healthy. Many doctors who finished their MBBS, about 2 lakh of them, take this exam because it’s really important in the medical field.
- Recently, the NEET-PG exams have been in the news. Doctors who finished their MBBS are asking for the exams to be postponed by 6 weeks. They want more time because the counseling process for the previous batch and the exams for the new batch in 2022 are too close together. The reason is that there isn’t enough time. The people in charge of the exams and counseling for PG courses are working hard to fix this problem caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
- The National Board of Examination has decided on the minimum marks for NEET-PG 2022. If you belong to the general or EWS categories, you need at least 275 marks out of 800 to qualify. Candidates with disabilities must score 260 marks. For SC, ST, and OBC candidates, the minimum requirement is 245 marks.
- During the exam, two questions were found to be wrong. Because of this, all the candidates will get full marks for those questions. The highest score achieved in the NEET-PG exam was an impressive 705 out of 800.
- The National Board of Examination will soon release the merit list for NEET-PG, and you can check it on their official website. The counseling process for the new batch is expected to start around June 20, 2022.
- Congratulations to all the candidates who passed the NEET-PG exam and showed their outstanding skills and dedication in the field of medicine. Curious Times wishes you all the best!
