Obelix is Asterix’s best friend. Asterix and Obelix always go on adventures together. Obelix has red hair which is braided into two parts.

He wears a helmet and striped blue and white pants that come up to his chest. Obelix is known for his size and his amazing superhuman strength. He is not very aware of his strength and tends to break things unknowingly.

Fun facts about Obelix!

• When he was a baby, he fell into a big pot of the magic potion that makes the village people very strong.
• Due to this, he is always very strong even without drinking the potion.
• Now he is not allowed to drink it. But of course, he thinks that is unfair.
• Obelix is kind-hearted and simple-minded.
• He loves Dogmatix, the dog very much.
• He enjoys hunting for wild boars and beating up Roman soldiers. Obelix gets angry when he is called “fat”.
• Obelix’s jolly and fun nature helps him get along with Asterix and that’s why they are always best friends.
