PM’s Bal Puraskar conferred to Bangalore dancers.

Do you know what is Prime Minister’s Bal Puraskar?

PM’s Bal Puraskar is a civilian honour for children in India. Amongst 29 children who were nominated for PM Rashtriya Bal Puraskar, Bangalore based Syed Fateen Ahmed and Remona Evette Pereira received the civilian honour.

Winners of the PM Bal Puraskar

Syed Fateen Ahmed is fourteen-year-old and is a western classical pianist, guitarist and vocalist. He started learning music at the age of three and is trained by international teachers.

Remona Evette Pereira is a seventeen-year-old and is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer. She received the PM Bal Puraskar for her achievements in art and culture.

Fateen’s Achievements

At the age of 12, Fateen became one of the youngest Indians to complete a diploma with distinction at the London College of Music(LCM). He wants to build a career in western music and aspires to become a sound engineer. Fateen and his parents are highly honoured as the Prime Minister praises the talented young boy. See this tweet by PM Narendra Modi:

Achievements by Remona

Remona is a semi-classical and western dancer. She started dancing at the age of three and she recalls that it was hard to dance on the glass shreds. Has anyone tried to dance on the glass shreds?

Remona has mastered the art to dance on the glass shreds with constant practice and her mother’s support. Remona says that now she wants to highlight the cultural diversity in Indian classical dance. She wants to prove that Indian culture is beautiful and diverse.

Prime Minister greeted Remona and Fateen virtually and praised their talents. These two young souls are surely an inspiration to everyone.

You can watch the video in which Prime Minister is seen greeting Remona.
