Qantas Airways announces ‘flight to somewhere’

Recommended for Preparatory Grades

We earlier read about Qantas Airways’ ‘flight to nowhere’. This flight did not have a destination. It flew around Australia’s famous tourist spots, giving passengers a chance to experience flights during COVID-19.

This flight proved to be very popular and now Qantas Airways has announced a ‘flight to somewhere‘.

The “flight to somewhere” is aimed at Australian travellers who cannot leave the country but still want to go on a holiday.

The program is a 24-hour trip from Sydney to Uluru in Australia and back. It includes sightseeing and a hotel stay.

In Uluru, visitors can get to experience and learn about Australia’s Aboriginal (tribal) community. They can also see a famous exhibition called the “Feld of Light”.

Qantas Airways’ the ‘flight to somewhere’ trip will take place from 5 to 6 December.

Uluru, formerly known as Ayers Rock, is a very important and holy place for the Aboriginal community. It was officially closed to tourist climbs in October 2019.
