Rajpath is now called Kartavya path, and on September 8, the new Central Vista Avenue in Delhi will have its grand opening. Thus, with the renaming of the street, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially change the name of Rajpath to “Kartavya Path.”

It is one of the most popular tourist spots and a special place for people who live in Delhi. Now, there are 106 public bathrooms, 16 permanent bridges, and 140 new trees on the avenue.

Starting at the Rashtrapati Bhawan, Central Vista Avenue is being fixed up all the way to India Gate. As part of the bigger Central Vista project, a new triangular Parliament building is also being built.

Besides rebuilding the Central Secretariat and other government offices. The avenue is now known for making it easier for people to walk and giving them more space. Along the Central Vista stretch, there are now benches every few feet.

Key Facts!
