Saudi students in Poland successfully complete their studies at the Medical University of Warsaw! This marks a significant milestone in their journey to become doctors.

In 2023, more than half of the Saudi graduates from the university were women! It reflects the success of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative.

Saudi Students Shine in Poland

  • One of the graduates left her hometown of in eastern Saudi Arabia at the age of 17 to pursue her dream of studying abroad. Despite being thousands of miles away from home, she felt a sense of comfort in the quietness of Warsaw, the Polish capital.
  • While the initial days were challenging, she found strength in her identity and pride. The language barrier did not deter her! She had previous exposure to different languages during her travels. Over time, she mastered the Polish language, forged friendships, and adapted to the Eastern European culture.
  • The story is shared by 34 other Saudi students who recently graduated from universities across Poland. They have all developed resilience, independence, and fluency in Polish.
  • Another graduate, emphasized the empowering nature of being independent. Although there were difficult moments, the students drew strength from their families’ support and their own determination to achieve their goals.
  • These students highlight the importance of acceptance, tolerance, and enjoying the journey rather than just focusing on the destination.
  • While their time in Poland has come to an end, the medical graduates will now return to Saudi Arabia. They will apply for one-year internships at hospitals. These internships will allow them to explore various specializations and eventually become resident doctors. However, before embarking on this new chapter, they are excited to spend quality time with their families.
  • Choosing Poland for higher education has been a popular choice among Saudi students. And medicine is a preferred field of study. The significant number of women among the graduates in Warsaw is a source of pride for the Kingdom’s envoy to Poland. He believes that the success of these students demonstrates the effectiveness of Vision 2030.
