Sebbie Hall – Random act of kindness a day

Hey! Do you remember when the first time a Lockdown was announced not so long ago! The deserted streets, everyone rushing to get essentials, all the family members locked up in the house. It actually put the movie “Hum Sath Sath Hain” into practice. That’s how I imagined it! A family that stays locked together, stays together!

Believe it or not, there is a teen in the UK who has performed a random act of kindness ever since the Lockdown. I admire his spirit and enthusiasm. As we rushed to catch the latest and greatest on Netflix or Prime or wondered with anxiety if the world going to come to an end? This 18-year-old teen (“Sebbie Hall”) wondered what’s going to happen to all those who don’t have access to phones and technology? How will they occupy themselves or keep in touch with the outside world?

He first gave away his iPad to a friend (How many of us would do that?) and his mother suggested he should help others as well (How many of us listen to our mothers?). He has a lot of compassion and empathy for others, born with learning difficulties himself, he has carried out thousands of acts of compassion towards complete strangers.

Before you kids get any ideas and start giving away stuff, always remember – ask your parents and do what they say! Coming back to Sebbie, even the British Prime Minister has given him kudos for his generosity.

Not only that, he has won several awards (think of all the goodies one gets to eat at such nice places!) and with all the positivity coming back to him, it has also improved his communication skills.

At Curious Times we always look at the brighter side of things, and feel no matter what the circumstances are, a positive attitude always helps you fly high! So spread your wings and fly like a butterfly!
