The Archies: A musical drama

The Archies is a fictional American band and they are related to Archies comics. It was also aired as an animated series, The Archies Show.

Archies, the musical drama

Zoya Akhtar is an Indian film director and screenwriter who works in Hindi cinema. She is all set to direct the Indian version of the Archies. It is a musical drama set in the 1960s. Zoya Akhtar shared on Instagram that the shooting for this musical drama has started.

Won’t it be thrilling to see the animated series in this new musical drama?

All about the Archie comics

The Archie comics were based on four friends: Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge and Jughead Jones. The story was based on the four friends and their teenage life. Archie was caught in a love triangle with Betty and Veronica while Jughead was known to be a food lover.

Jon Goldwater, Archie Comics CEO said that he is thrilled to see the characters of Archies coming back to life. They have partnered with Netflix and Zoya Akhtar to deliver the Indian take on Archies and friends. It would be thrilling to watch the Archies in the Indian style.

Star cast of The Archies

According to social media, the star kids, Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor and Agastya Nanda will make their debut in the Zoya Akhtar directorial, The Archies. Ibrahim Ali Khan’s name is also linked with the movie.  The star cast is yet to be finalised but the shooting for the musical drama has started.
