The Unexpected Guest

The three German Shepherds, Riga, Rose, and Reira, were the pride of the Blokhin household. They patrolled the garden with unwavering loyalty, their tails wagging rhythmically as they explored their familiar domain. One crisp autumn morning, their routine patrol took an unexpected turn.

Emerging from the woods that bordered the property, they weren’t alone. Trotting alongside them was a small, grey cat, its fur ruffled and its eyes wide with curiosity. The dogs, far from their usual barking and chasing, nudged the cat gently with their wet noses, as if introducing a new friend.

Arthur knelt down, extending a tentative hand towards the cat. “Welcome home, little one,” he whispered. “We’ll call you Peter.” Peter, purring softly, accepted the invitation, its tail twitching in contentment.
