This ‘sky train’ with glass bottom offers amazing viewsChina is launching a 'sky train' with a glass bottom in the city of Chengdu.

This train is an air-rail train, meaning it is suspended from its track in the air. They have designed it to look like a giant panda and is covered by glass on three sides. Each carriage in the train can carry 120 people and will give passengers amazing views of the city below.

Moreover, the train also runs on renewable energy. It runs on a lithium battery power pack which is rechargeable. Renewable energy is a type of energy that is sustainable; meaning it is something that will not run out or is endless. For example, solar energy from the Sun.

This line is one of China's first suspension train lines to run on renewable energy. It is part of the Dayi Air-rail project.
About Chengdu
Chengdu in Sichuan is one of the most important cities in Western China. It is famous for its food, technological inventions as well as the giant panda, which lives in Sichuan.
