Virat Kohli resigns as India’s Test captain.

You don’t need an introduction to this gem of a person. Virat Kohli is an Indian International Cricketer and captain of the Indian National Team.

Virat Kohli stepped down as the Test Captain of the Indian National Cricket Team. He announced his resignation on social media. Earlier, he decided to quit as captain of India in the T20I World Cup due to mental health reasons.

During his time as the captain, Kohli led India in 68 test matches, in which they won 40 matches. Moreover, he is India’s most successful Captain.

Kohli’s Achievements

It won’t be wrong to say that Virat Kohli has built a legacy that will live long. Under Kohli’s leadership, the Indian team has become so strong that they can and they will win overseas, that too in any condition.

When Virat Kohli joined the team as captain, his vision was of a side that could win in Australia and England. He built a fast-bowling infrastructure that was absent in Indian cricket previously.

Fast Bowling Infrastructure

The Indian captain demanded a half-dozen of fast bowlers, from whom he could choose and they could help him win matches. National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru has played an important role in establishing this infrastructure. Virat Kohli has earned all his name through his hard work and his resignation has created a vacuum.

There are chances of Rohit Sharma taking up the captaincy of the Indian Team, while KL Rahul will remain the vice-captain.

We at Curious Times wish good luck to Virat Kohli for his future endeavours. Meanwhile, dear kids, dream big and work hard to achieve your dreams. Stay curious!
