Watch a video: Hungry elephant crashes into houseLast weekend, people in a house in Thailand got an unexpected visitor - a hungry elephant.

One of the women in the house, name Ratchadawan, heard a noise in the kitchen and ran downstairs. There she found the elephant's head poking through a hole in the wall.

Ratchadawan's house is next to a national park where elephants live. The wall already had a hole that another elephant had made when it smashed into the house last month. But the videos of this new elephant shows it looking for food in cupboards, using its trunk.

The elephant had come in because it needed salt. Elephants eat plants so they need to eat salt separately to stay healthy.

These kinds of incidents have happened earlier too. This is because forests are getting smaller. So, elephants end up roaming to find food in places where humans live too.

Today, in Thailand, wild elephants often enter fields to eat crops. So, experts say that we need to find a solution so that such conflicts do not happen.
