Penguin escape!

It is not often that we see a moment like it’s from something out of a National Geographic show in real life.

Recently, a gentoo penguin was seen jumping onto a boat with tourists to escape from killer whales (orcas).  This amazing moment on video was captured by the tourists.

The tourists had been on a trip watching whales when they saw the penguin jumping in and out of the water, running away from danger.

After trying for several minutes, the penguin managed to come out of the water and jump onto the boat.

After getting on board, the penguin happily spent some time with the tourists before jumping back into the water.

What are killer whales or orcas?

Killer whales are the largest members of the oceanic dolphin family. They are known to hunt many types of animals like leatherback sea turtles, dugongs, moose, and penguins.
