WhatsApp privacy features update!

Recommended for Middle Grades

WhatsApp makes new features available to the public. Hide your online status, one is not permitted to take screenshots of timed or view-once messages, and more.

Key new privacy features for WhatsApp!

  • Users have always been able to hide their “last seen” status. But now they can also hide the fact that they are “online” from the people they are connected with.
  • Soon, people who use WhatsApp will be able to choose which contacts they want to tell when they are “Online.”
  • Because of this new feature, a new setting called “Who can see when I’m online” will be added to the “last seen” section of the settings.
  • Users will be able to choose either “Everyone” or “Same as Last Seen.”
  • With “view once communications,” users can send a photo or video to another user that they can only look at once.
  • Users will be able to stop other users from taking screenshots of the media they share thanks to a brand-new feature.
  • You can now leave any WhatsApp group without leaving a trace.
  • WhatsApp won’t send a message to the conversation thread saying that you “left the group”
  • Users now have a little more than two days after sending a message to delete it. Before, they only had an hour.
