Man makes the deepest submarine dive in Pacific Ocean

Victor Vescovo, a retired naval officer and, explorer, took the deepest dive ever taken by any human in the submarine, DSV* Limiting Factor (Deep Submergence Vehicle Limiting Factor).

He went to a point in the Pacific Ocean's Mariana Trench (the deepest place on Earth).

Guess what did he find there?

Trash! He also found a snailfish and a spoon worm, which was the deepest level that species had ever been encountered at.

It was the third time humans have dived to the deepest point in the ocean, known as Challenger Deep, this time to a depth of 35,853 ft (10,927 meters).

Vescovo hopes his discovery of trash in the Mariana Trench would raise awareness about dumping in the oceans. He also wants governments to enforce existing regulations in a stricter manner or make new laws around dumping trash in the seas and oceans.
