The chicken & the zebra who wanted to change
In a deep forest there were two close friends, the chicken and the zebra. The zebra had beautiful stripes and the chicken was a great comedian but still both of them were very sad and always afraid, as both of them were reared for being in someone’s plate. And they thought humans don’t respect them and make fun of them but everyone respected them in the forest.
Zebra and the chicken one day became tired of being afraid that they would be dead the next day. So, they decided to paint themselves and have the most unique look, so no human can know which animal they are.
On a busy Sunday when the fast wind was incessantly blowing, the trees and grass were talking, the zebra and the chicken bought hundreds of different colours and started painting themselves. The chicken gave painted himself in neon and blue while on the other side the zebra painted himself in green and brown. The chicken and the zebra both loved their new look and they started walking all around the forest. Everyone loved them in the forest as they were in their own unique way. In the forest when the chicken and zebra started showing everybody their look, everyone laughed at them, made fun of them and called him names because their new look to the rest of the creatures in forest was pathetic. Both of them lost their respect and love in the forest too as they wanted to change, so no one ever liked them.
When the 2 animals realized that they were unique in their own way (zebra for its stripes and the chicken for its comedy). They becoming happy with what they have and again were respected and loved by the creatures in the forest as they now weren’t trying to hide their identity.
Now both the animals are very well protected as their fellow animal friends always help them and protect them because they now were complacent. So, the moral of the story is “Be happy with what you have, it will always benefit you.”
