The BCCI has announced the owners of the Women’s Indian Premier League teams. Three Indian Premier League clubs are the proprietors of the five new teams.
These teams will compete in the Women’s Premier League (WPL).

The Women’s Premier Competition (WPC) is the official name that the BCCI has given to the Women’s Premier League.

- In addition, the owners of the IPL team Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Delhi Capitals each submitted winning offers to enter the WPL.
