ICC Celebrates 12th Anniversary with a New Logo!

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has revealed the logo for the 2023 Cricket World Cup. It will be held in India. The logo was unveiled on the 12th anniversary of India’s victory at the 2011 World Cup.

  • The logo is based on the theme of ‘Navarasa.’
  • It is a term from Indian theatre that describes the nine emotions that people feel while watching cricket.
  • Emotions like pride, awe, amazement, and passion are included in this category.
  • India’s captain, Rohit Sharma, says his team is excited to play in the World Cup on home soil.
  • The BCCI Secretary, Jay Shah, says the 2011 victory was important, but he hopes new memories will be made in the 2023 event.
  • Already qualified to compete in the World Cup are seven different nations.
  • Further, the final three spots will be decided in a qualifier tournament in June and July.
  • FanCraze, an ICC digital collectables partner, will give MS Dhoni his Navarasa-themed “glory” digital collectable to mark the 12-year mark.
