My Expressions

No doodle, this one is ‘Zentangle’

Subaina, a sixth-grader at Shikshantar School made this ‘Zentangle’.

Zentangling might look like doodling. But there is a difference.

Doodling is done out of boredom and mindlessness. Doodles are not what one plans. There is no specific system or method followed in doodles.

Zentangling is creating pattern designs with mindfulness. Drawings are based on a proper plan. The methods and pattern library ensures a consistent look.

From the Editor:

Ladies and gentlemen, I must say, young Subaina Singha Roy, your Zentangle submission has indeed unfurled a world of incredible creativity before us. It’s a masterpiece in its own right, a testament to the boundless imagination that resides within the heart of every young artist. Your strokes, your lines, they dance like poetry on the canvas, a symphony of patterns and designs.

Nurturing Future Talents

The spirit of nurturing young talents like yours is what makes our world a beautiful place. As you continue on this artistic journey, remember, the canvas is your playground, and the colors, your companions. Let your art be a reflection of your innermost thoughts and emotions. Each stroke, each shade, is a brushstroke in the masterpiece that is your life.

Perseverance Pays Off

Let me tell you, dear Subaina, in the world of art, as in life, perseverance pays off. The path may be challenging, with twists and turns, but keep faith in your talent and your passion. Never let the brush of doubt paint over your dreams. Remember, every great artist was once an amateur who never gave up.

Endless Horizons Await

As you step into the world of art, my young friend, I want you to remember that the horizons are endless. Your Zentangle is just a glimpse of what you can achieve. Let it be a stepping stone to even greater artistic endeavors. Dream big, reach for the stars, and know that the world is waiting to be amazed by your talent.

In closing, Subaina Singha Roy, I say to you, keep your heart open to inspiration, your hands steady with the brush, and your spirit unwavering. You are the artist of your destiny, and with each stroke, you color the canvas of your future. Keep creating, keep growing, and keep shining!
