Have you ever watched the Scooby-Doo cartoon series? I’m sure you have.
The series stars the dog Scooby Dooby-Doo (or Scoobert Doobert Doo) and his best friend, Shaggy as well as Fred, Daphne and Velma. They solve mysteries involving ghosts and other creatures. These “ghosts” always turn out to be real people!
Fun facts about Scooby-Doo!
- The character Scooby-Doo and the series Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! were created in 1969 by the American animation company Hanna-Barbera.
- The series quickly became very popular, leading to many more series and live-action movies.
- Later on, they also added more characters such as Scooby’s cousin Scooby-Dum and nephew Scrappy-Doo.
- Scooby-Doo is a brown-coloured Great Dane with some black spots.
- He can walk on two legs sometimes.
- He is able to speak in broken English and usually puts the letter “R” in front of words and noises.
- His catchphrase is “Scooby-Dooby-Doo!“.
- Scooby is quite intelligent but is known for always being scared and hungry (along with Shaggy).
- However, he is also always loyal and tries to do the right thing.
- Today, Scooby-D00 is a very well-known character.
