“And Then There Were None”
BOOK REVIEW
A well-known novel by the celebrated writer Agatha Christie, ‘And Then There Were None’ is one of the most intriguing novel I have ever read.
Ten individuals, anonymous to each other, invited to the Soldier’s island, an isolated rock off the mainland, with their generous host mysteriously absent, they are accused of a terrible and dreadful crime.
Each one of them have a secret, dark and petrifying past. All the time, copy of a nursery rhyme hangs in each room, a nursery rhyme with an omen of death for all ten of them.
The twists and turns in the novel are mind-blowing. No matter how many times I read this novel, I am always on the edge of my seat;wanting to know what happens next. I,personally, liked the way, Agatha Christie has described each moment so throughly. The reader gets to exactly like what each character is thinking.
I am out of words when it comes to the epilogue. The epilogue of this tremendous novel is phenomenal. It’s so unexpected.
The famous bollywood movie ‘Gumnaam’ is also based on this story. I ,throughly, enjoyed reading this novel and shall recommend it to one and all.
