Factory – Ludo is Born

The Mumbai monsoon hammered down, a relentless drumbeat against the corrugated metal roof. Inside the toy factory, the air hung heavy with humidity, the scent of fresh paint and oiled metal a sharp counterpoint to the damp earth smell wafting through open windows.

It was late afternoon, the weak sunlight struggling to pierce the thick curtain of rain.

Despite the gloomy weather, the factory throbbed with a frenetic energy. Rollers whirred, a cacophony of machines echoing the pounding in my unformed core. Splashes of color – bold red, vibrant yellow – danced across my surface, a whirlwind of creation. ‘LUDO.’

The letters blazoned forth, a bold declaration amidst the chaos. Each letter seemed to promise adventures to come, laughter yet unheard. But a single dust mote, caught in a dying sunbeam, hinted at a different destiny.
