Ah, the magic of making! I’m delighted by Snigdhajit Goswami’s submission, “Easy 3D Drawing for Kids: Create Your Own Optical Illusion.” This young artist from Maria’s Public School has truly captured the spirit of creative drawing activities for children.

Easy 3D Drawing: A Gateway to Imagination

Snigdhajit’s submission is a wonderful example of how art education can spark imagination and foster child development. By mastering the simple techniques of perspective drawing and anamorphic art, children can transform a flat surface into a captivating 3D illusion.

How to Draw 3D: A DIY Art Project for Kids

Young artists, let me guide you on a journey into the world of optical illusion art. With just a few simple tools, you can create your own trick art that will amaze your friends and family.

Materials:

  • Paper
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Markers or colored pencils

Step-by-Step Tutorial:

  1. Draw a Square: Start by drawing a square in the center of your paper.
  2. Add Parallel Lines: Use your ruler to draw several parallel lines inside the square, starting at the top and angling them downwards.
  3. Create the Illusion: Begin coloring every other space between the lines. Alternate the colors to create a pattern.
  4. Extend the Lines: Extend the lines outside of the square, maintaining the same angle and spacing.
  5. Color the Extended Lines: Continue the coloring pattern you used inside the square on the extended lines.

Voilà! You have created your own 3D drawing for kids! It’s a simple yet effective way to explore the principles of visual perception and create a mesmerizing piece of children’s art.
