4-year-old pianist wins global music competition

4-year-old pianist wins global music competitionBrigitte Xie is a 4-year-old pianist (someone who plays the piano) living in the US. Last year, during the COVID-19 lockdown, she started to learn how to play the piano. She took classes over Zoom with a teacher, Felicia Feng Zhang.

Now, just a year later, she's become the youngest winner of the prestigious (famous) Elite International Music Competition.

The Winners Recitals are held at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall ( a famous concert place) in New York City. And this amazing 4-year-old pianist has been chosen to play there. However, for the time being, her performance will have to wait. She is not vaccinated against COVID-19 yet and cannot be allowed in Carnegie Hall.
Brigitte's musical journey
Brigitte's dad, Tao signed her up to take Zoom piano classes when she was 3 years and two months old. They wanted her to have a hobby during the pandemic. But to their surprise, she turned out to be very good at it!

So, congratulations to this brilliant 4-year-old pianist! Let's also be inspired by her.
