Last week, 5-year-old boy, Noah Woods, showed that anyone can be brave! He saved his family and dog from a fire in his family home in Bartow County, Georgia in the US.

What exactly happened?

Noah was sleeping one night when he woke up and saw that his room was on fire.
 	So, he quickly grabbed his two-year-old sister, with whom he shares a room and ran out of the house.
 	Not only that, he went back in again to save the family dog.
 	After that, he ran next door to his uncle's house for help and together they alerted the whole family. Thankfully, no one got seriously injured.

His family and the firefighters said that they are very proud of his bravery and quick thinking.

Bartow County is also honouring his bravery by naming him an honorary* firefighter. He also received a rare lifesavers award for his heroic deed, which is usually given only to professional firefighters.

*Honorary: given as an honour to someone who has not done a course of study
