A pigeon who cannot fly and a puppy who cannot walk have become friends forever!A puppy that cannot walk and a pigeon that cannot fly have become the closest of friends.

How did this heartwarming story happen?

The Mia Foundation in New York, US is a rescue organisation for animals. It gives shelter (rescues animals) that have birth defects or are disabled.
 	A pigeon, Herman, has been living in the Mia Foundation for a while. Due to nerve damage, Herman has not been able to fly for more than a year.
 	On the other hand, Lundy is a two-month-old Chihuahua puppy and is two months old. He was sent to the rescue organisation by his owner from North Carolina, US because he has difficulty in walking.
 	Sue Rogers, the founder of Mia Foundation, happened to put Herman and Lundy together on the same bed. Almost immediately they both began snuggling and cuddling together.

They both seemed very comfortable in each other’s company. Herman did not peck Lundy and Lundy did not bite Herman.
 	Sue put up their photos on the internet and soon many people were overjoyed and touched by their cute behaviour.

Due to this lovely story, many people have also donated money to the organisation to help the animals get better.
