Airport in Japan makes bathroom and rest area for pet dogsThe Osaka International Airport (ITAMI) in Osaka, Japan has come up with something special for pet dogs. It has created a dog bathroom and rest area which is the first of its kind in the world!

The dog rest area has a shower and a ‘pee-pole’ for dogs who want to pee. The pee-pole cleans on its own.
 	Besides the dog bathroom, there is also space for the dogs to walk and benches for them to sit on. There is fresh drinking water available in the area if the dogs are thirsty.
 	This dog-friendly area is located at the airport’s pick–up and drop-off area. There is a roof covering the dog-rest space as a shade for all seasons.

The dog-rest area will open from 13 February onward. It will be open every day from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The airport decided to build the dog toilets and rest area after complaints by airline officials and passengers. The complaints were around the toileting mess created by dogs which were sometimes onboard flights.

The owners can now relieve the dogs before boarding or entering the airport to avoid such untidiness.
