Recommended for Preparatory Grades

Airtel 5G’s 175 Replayed starring Kapil Dev shows how immersive video entertainment will look in the future. A recreation of Kapil Dev’s legendary 175-run inning against Zimbabwe at the 1983 Cricket World Cup was recently showcased by Airtel.

5G technology is setting the stage for an infinite number of possibilities. Its high-speed and efficient connection enables unique and creative applications.

Airtel 5G and 175 Relayed!

Airtel, India’s leading communications solution provider, gives us a sneak view of these possibilities. A TV technicians’ strike at the time prevented broadcasters from airing video of the match between India and Zimbabwe in the 1983 Cricket World Cup. But Airtel’s 4K ‘175 Replayed’ experience brought back some of the most important moments from the game.

More than 50 people saw the important moments from the match on 5G cellphones with high speeds. A 360-degree stadium view shot analysis, and statistics were all available in real-time. It provided a glimpse into Airtel’s 5G capabilities and a glimpse into how immersive video entertainment would change.

5-G Powered Hologram!

It was even more exciting for the people who came to the event. It was India’s first 5G-powered hologram interaction with the legendary cricketer and India’s former captain. Kapil Dev’s hologram, which was powered by Airtel 5G, appeared on stage and talked to the crowd.
