Anna Qabale Duba has been rewarded Aster Guardians Global Nursing Award. She becomes the first recipient of this award.
Global Nursing Award
Anna won the prestigious title on International Nurses Day, celebrated on 12th May globally. Anna has grabbed a cash prize of $250,000 from Aster DM Healthcare.
The ceremony was held at Atlantic, the Palm. Anna accepted the Aster Guardians Global Nursing Award from Sheikh bin Saeed Al Maktoum. He is the President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and chairman of Dubai Airports.
Anna is the founder of Qabale Duba Foundation in Kenya. The foundation helps in empowering women through education, implementing peace-building activities and supporting girl-child education.
Anna Qabale Duba is extremely happy upon receiving the award. She didn’t imagine that she’d be celebrated on a global platform.
Anna dedicated that this win is for all the girls and women in the rural villages across Kenya. She said that the nursing community is the backbone of the healthcare sector.
Aster Guardians Global Nursing Award would be an annual prize for nurses across the globe.
