Canada’s annual hair freezing contest brings joy and laughterHave you ever tried using shampoo or hair gel to make your hair look very wacky for fun? Canada's hair freezing contest is something similar but it requires very extreme conditions!

Every year, the Takhini Hot Pools in Yukon, Canada has a very fun hair freezing contest that everyone can participate in.

What is this contest all about?

Takhini Hot Pools is a natural hot spring resort. Hot springs are places where naturally hot water comes out of the Earth. People often come to soak and relax in such hot springs.
 	Now, Yukon, where Takhini Hot Pools is located, gets very cold and everything turns to ice in the winter.
 	 So, to participate in the hair freezing contest, one must visit Takhini Hot Pools in the winter when it is -20 Celsius or colder.
 	When you soak your hair in the hot spring and then sit upright, the icy cold weather makes the wet hair freeze, including eyebrows and eyelashes. Then, an employee will take a photo of your hair as your entry to the contest! Not to worry, the hair will not get damaged.

Takhini Hot Pools presents awards to the best 5 entries. The winners get a cash prize and free unlimited entry to the hot springs.
