China allows couples to have unlimited children!

China allows couples to have unlimited children!In one region of China, married people are allowed to have as many children as they want. This is done as part of China's ongoing efforts to balance its population.
The Chinese province of Sichuan has lifted childbearing limitations for married couples.
Last year was the first time in the last 60 years that China's population declined. For many years, the government only let people have one child. But in 2021, married couples across the country could have up to three children.
But now, couples who are not married will be able to raise children in Sichuan. This is a direct result of a policy change about giving birth.

In the past, it was illegal for unmarried mothers to record their child's birth.
According to China's one-child policy, those households that disobeyed the regulations were issued a monetary fine.
In addition in some instances, their jobs were terminated.
The one-child policy also resulted in females being coerced into having abortions in society.
A society where according to experts traditionally more value has been placed on boys than on girls.
However, the improvements that were implemented in 2016 were not successful in reversing the falling birth rate.
In China, the number of deaths seems to exceed the number of births for the first time ever.
Sichuan is situated in the southwestern region of China.
Experts estimate it has a population of 80 million.
The locals at Sichuan will now no longer be restricted in the number of children they are allowed to have.
The improvement of birth rates is one of President Xi Jinping's top priorities in China.
The government has also reduced taxes and enhanced maternity care to reverse the dropping birthrate.
This comes at a time when China is still fighting an ongoing battle against deaths due to Covid throughout the country.
Scholars note that birth rates are falling in several Asia-Pacific nations, including Japan.
This could put Japan in danger of losing its population balance, according to the Prime Minister.
