COVID-19: Increase in cases in India, worldAs per latest reports, the total confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country has gone up to 61.

On 10 March, the Indian government airlifted 58 Indians from Iran. So far, India has evacuated 948 persons from COVID-19 affected countries.
 	Kerala and Jammu have shut their cinema halls till 31 March as a precaution.
 	The central govt has announced the suspension of all regular Visas (including e-Visas) which have been granted to nationals of France, Germany and Spain on or before 11 March 2020.
 	People travelling from or have visited Italy and South Korea will now have to submit a certificate of having tested negative for COVID-19 to enter India.
 	Assam is on high alert after a US citizen in Bhutan tested positive for the virus. He had come from India.
 	The outbreak also meant that Holi celebrations across India on 10 March were more subdued.

What is the situation globally?

Globally, the novel coronavirus has infected more than 115,800 people and killed over 4,200 people. Turkey and Mongolia also confirmed their first cases.
 	COVID-19 cases are declining in China and it has started easing restrictions in the Hubei province, which had been put under lockdown since January 2020.
 	However, the situation seems to be worsening in neighbouring Japan and South Korea.
 	Other countries also badly affected include Iran and Italy. Germany, Spain, France, the UK, and the Netherlands are also reporting more new cases.
 	Italy has locked down the entire country, restricting travel, closing schools and suspending public events. Austria has stopped all passenger rail travel to and from Italy.
