Delhi artist uses plastic waste to create artworkManveer Singh is an artist who lives in Delhi. Over the last 3 years, he has created artworks from plastic waste meant to be thrown in the garbage. Till now he has used 250 kg of plastic.

Singh started this eco-friendly work in April 2018. He says he has created 11 artworks out of plastic waste and even sold three of them in other countries.

Singh also works as an art teacher. He says that before, he used to paint landscapes etc but he wanted to do more. He wanted to not just use nature as an inspiration.
How did he start doing this?
So, when he noticed all the plastic waste around him, he decided to start using them in his artwork to help save the environment. In the beginning, he used the plastic he got personally. But that wasn't enough. Eventually, he started collecting plastic waste from people, going door to door. He says that he has even started a drive at schools to collect plastic.

He has displayed his artwork at many places, including the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center in January 2020.
