Development projects announced in Jammu and Kashmir

Recommended for Secondary Grades

Hey there, curious reader! We have some exciting news to share with you about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to Jammu and Kashmir. Are you ready to learn?

Let’s dive in!

Important Details

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi went to Jammu and Kashmir on a special day, Sunday. He had some important plans to make the state even better. Do you know what Article 370 is? It used to give Jammu and Kashmir special powers to make decisions on their own. But now, that article doesn’t exist anymore. So, the Prime Minister wanted to bring in some changes to help the people there.
  • During his visit, Mr. Modi started many development projects. These projects are all about making the state’s government better and helping the people live better lives. One of the projects he inaugurated is the Banihal-Qazigund road tunnel. This tunnel is very special because it will connect the states of Jammu and Kashmir, making it easier for people to travel between them.
  • But that’s not all! The Prime Minister also visited Palli Panchayat. Can you guess what he did there? He opened a solar power plant! Isn’t that amazing?
  • This solar power plant is very big and special because it has 1,500 solar panels. These panels are placed over a big area of land. They can make clean electricity for 340 houses! And guess what? Palli Panchayat has become the first carbon-neutral panchayat in all of India because of this power plant.
  • So, what do you think about all these projects? Do you have any thoughts or questions? Let us know in the comments below.
