A DJ, a YouTuber, and a K-pop artist will be on SpaceX’s upcoming mission to the moon.

A Japanese billionaire (Yusaku Maezawa) picked a commercial DJ, a K-pop rapper, and a space YouTuber, amongst others to go on a private SpaceX mission to go around the Moon.

The mission is planned to take place in 2023. It also has the potential to be the first human trip to the moon since 1972.

As part of the proposed fly-by, a spacecraft would make an orbit around the moon, getting to within a hundred kilometres of its surface.

From the time of departure to the time of arrival, the journey would last for eight days. The Starship rocket that Elon Musk’s SpaceX company is planning to use to transport the crew to space is yet to be granted clearance to fly by United States authorities.
