Exoplanets could have better conditions for life than EarthSo far, Earth is the only planet we know that is habitable. Scientists have been looking for planets that are 'Earth-like'.

So, what if there are planets that are even more livable than the Earth?

As we know, it is the presence of water that makes life possible on a planet.
 	New research suggests that there are planets beyond our solar system (exoplanets) that could have oceans that are even more hospitable, offering life that is more varied than we know.
 	According to researchers, oceanic life on Earth depends on an upward flow of water or upwelling.
 	It is this upward flow of water which moves nutrients from the dark depths of the ocean to the top sunlit portions where photosynthetic life thrives.
 	More upwelling means more nutrient resupply, which means more biological activity.

Research has shown that conditions on some exoplanets with favourable ocean circulation patterns could be better suited to support life that is more abundant than that on Earth.
