Expedition offers historic opportunity to visit deepest point in the oceansDid you know the Challenger Deep is the deepest point in our oceans? It is located in the Mariana Trench in the Western Pacific Ocean, at a depth of 10,902 to 10,929 m.

While it's not easy to reach the top of Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world, many people scale it every year. On the other hand, only 7 people have reached challenger deep till date.

So what is the news?

For the first time in history, travel company EYOS Expeditions an undersea diving company, Caladan Oceanic is offering the general public an opportunity to reach Challenger Deep.
 	This historic event is being called the Ring of Fire Expedition.

What are the details of this exciting expedition?

The company is offering this trip to 3 people, on first-come-first basis. It will cost more than US$100,000 per person.
 	This trip will be in June 2020 for 8 days on a ship (DSSV Pressure Drop).
 	A submarine will take the visitors to Challenger Deep every day and divers can explore the seabed for up to 4 hours.
 	When not diving, people can relax at the cinema or the gym facilities on board the ship.

This 8-day trip is part of a longer 6-month scientific expedition to study and collect samples from this largely unknown region of Earth.
