Facebook restricts Live feature on violation of rules.

Facebook (FB) has announced a new policy on its Facebook Live* feature, which is known as "one-strike". Under this, users could be banned from Live streaming on FB for certain period (period not specified for now).

Facebook has taken this step in background of the incident, which took place in the city of Christchurch, New Zealand on 15th March 2019. A gunman killed 51 people at two mosques and live streamed the attack on his page. Read More: Shooting in a New Zealand Mosque
 	Restrictions will also apply to those who try to share link or information of this nature.
 	Facebook has not listed all offences that come under 'one-strike' policy.
 	Facebook has plans to extend the restrictions to some more areas over the coming days.

Online Extremism Summit

This new decision has come to implementation, as national leaders of various companies are meeting in Paris for an Online Extremism Summit.
 	The initiative called “Christchurch Call” was pushed by New Zealand PM, Jacinda Ardern. This meeting is to seek world leaders and technology companies to sign a pledge to remove violent content.
 	Countries like Australia, Germany, Japan, Netherlands, Spain, India and Sweden have supported this initiative. Tech giants like Microsoft, Google and its video platform YouTube and Amazon have agreed.

*Facebook Live: It is a feature for the live broadcast of user videos from the Facebook mobile app.
